Agile Delivery Lead
Expert IT delivery practitioner with the ability to manage and coach multiple concurrent delivery work streams. This role is a highly experienced individual with proven track of managing system development lifecycle, both Agile and waterfall way. It is a leader in process improvement, coaching, mentoring, conflict management, facilitation and mediation while ensuring that work goes on consistently without interruptions within the delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking responsibility for the deliveries or service in scope for the assigned agile team or project, maintain their scope, cost and schedule
- Facilitating the development process and ensuring that the team is following agile principles
- Managing the flow of work through the delivery pipeline
- Removing all obstacles/impediments for team efficiency and effectiveness; reaching out to the larger organizational network for impediment removal
- Ensuring cross-team coordination and coordination of dependencies with other agile teams, projects, or the rest of the organization
- Ensuring that the team is delivering high-quality work on time and within budget and that all risks and issues are appropriately identified and managed in alignment to the defined delivery approach
- Tracking and reporting on delivery progress
- Facilitating of release level planning across multiple teams if needed
- Acting as a liaison between the team and other stakeholders, such as other Agile Delivery Leaders, Product owners/IT platform & service owners, Infrastructure team, Management, and the rest of the organization
- Managing vendor relationships, working with vendor scrum masters, project managers and/or team leads to deliver as scheduled/agreed
- Managing Application support and Infrastructure relationship and services provided, coordinating any major incident resolution
- Facilitating the Scrum/Agile process and ceremonies (such as Increment Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives)
- Ensuring that all team events take place, are productive and kept within the timebox
- Educating the team in Scrum, Kanban practice and coaching the team in self-management
- Helping the team to establish clear goals and objectives, and to measure progress towards those goals, helping to align delivery with the overall goals and objectives of the organization
- Continuously improving the team's processes and practices, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team
- Collaborating with other Agile Delivery Leads to share best practices and improve overall organizational performance
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of prior experience in a similar role, Scrum and Kanban practitioner
- Proficient with standard project management concepts such as managing Scope Stakeholders, Communication and Financial and Risk Management practices
- Understanding of all elements of the system development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management
- Highly analytical, methodical with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to think strategically, assess business risk and apply creative problem-solving skills
Required:
- BA/BS in Comp Science/IS (or equivalent) or 5+ years of CS/IS hands-on experience with IT solution delivery, software development and system integration
- Typical 7+ years' experience (total)
- 2+ years leading people/projects SAFe Certifications (SSM, SP) – negotiable in case of other strong skills
- Scrum Certifications – negotiable in case of other strong skills
- Ability to work with applicable collaboration tools that drive an end to end delivery of product through persistent teams.
- Fluent in use of modern Agile collaboration tools, familiar with CI/CD tools such as MS Azure CI/CD
- Fluent in English (minimum B2)
