Software Dev Engineer Test (QA/Tester)

This function is responsible for integrating testing, development and design principles through every phase of the system development life cycle (SDLC) process. The role is proficient in creating test automation frameworks and tools while also utilizing manual testing techniques as needed, following the identified best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• work closely with software engineers to identify code defects or regressions
• validate application functionality through the implementation of test strategies, automation frameworks, tools, and dashboards
• participates in planning and documenting basic test strategies and acceptance criteria based on customer needs
• participate in test execution (new builds and regression), analyze the reports, troubleshoot & investigate the failuresinvestigate, diagnose and repair basic problems, testing bugs and creating and managing bug reports.
• continually look for ways to innovate and improve the testing process to gain efficiencies

Required:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field
• 2+ years' experience in a similar role
• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) - negotiable in case of relevant experience
• Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST) - negotiable in case of relevant experience
• experience in using code repositories like Git, JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools
• experience with mocks/stubs, and build virtualized assets using Service Virtualization tools
• experience with SOAP UI, SQL
• knowledge of features and facilities for integration and communication among applications, data bases and technology platforms. e.g. webservices, SOAP, XML, ORIGO standards, SFTP, VPN, Informatica etc
• excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• builds trusted relationships and collaborates across global, diverse and multi-functional teams to successfully drive business objectives

Preferred:

* Experience working in an Agile environment with Engineering scrum teams
* SAFe certified or other Scaled Agile frameworks: Scrum Alliance CSM or CSP certification, PMI’s Agile Certified Professional (ACP) 
* Experience in Continuous Integration/Testing/Delivery/Deployment and SecDevOps
* Culture/Tools/Implementation
