Sr. Agile Coach - Delivery Lead
Expert Agile practitioner with the ability to manage and coach multiple concurrent delivery work streams. This role is a highly experienced individual with proven track of managing system development lifecycle, both Agile and waterfall way. It is a leader in process improvement, coaching, mentoring, conflict management, facilitation and mediation while ensuring that work goes on consistently without interruptions within the delivery team. The Agile Delivery Lead engages with both technical leadership and agile delivery teams with a primary focus on technical practices and tools adoption including but not limited to TDD, test automation, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery through adoption of DevOps practices and tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- trains, guides, coaches and mentors Agile teams towards achieving product objectives through adoption of agile technical practices
- works directly with team members and business partners to execute the adoption of Agile practices (e.g. SAFe) at the organizational level
- able to introduce and mature various Agile practices at the team level (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP)
- take responsibility for the delivery of the projects in scope for each Agile team, maintain their scope, cost and schedule
- ensure that delivery teams follow defined delivery approach and that activity is coordinated accordingly in line with delivery model best practice
- ensure that expectations are aligned with regards to the goals, scope and time-lines for product delivery, manages stakeholders and team expectations
- ensure that all risks and issues are appropriately identified and managed in alignment to the defined delivery approach
- facilitate of release level planning across multiple teams
- remove all obstacles for team efficiency and effectiveness; reach out to the larger organizational network for impediment removal; ensure cross-team coordination
- raise recurring, widely observed issues and bottlenecks to Agile team stakeholders (e.g. PO, Business Owner) and develop and implement comprehensive solutions
- assist in Developing and monitoring metrics to track progress of Agile/DevOps adoption and maturity to aid in accelerating overall Agile transformation efforts
- facilitate/deliver Agile/DevOps awareness, training materials, and content; apply industry best practices at team level
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- minimum 3 years of prior experience in a similar role, Scrum and Kanban practitioner
- proficient with standard project management concepts such as managing Scope, Stakeholders, Communication and Financial and Risk Management practices
- fluent in use of modern Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Suite, familiar with CI/CD tools such as MS Azure CI/CD
- understanding of all elements of the system development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management
- highly analytical, methodical with excellent attention to detail.
